01It's rich — will it pill under sunscreen or makeup?
Not if you dose it correctly. One knuckle for oily skin, two for dry, patted in rather than rubbed, then sixty seconds before the next layer. Pilling is almost always over-application or stacking silicone-heavy products back to back — not the formula.
02I've reacted to retinol before. Is this different?
The retinol sits on a barrier-repair base — TECA, panthenol, ceramides — rather than a bare vehicle. Start three nights a week for two weeks, then every other night, then nightly. Don't stack it with another retinoid or strong acid the same night, and wear sunscreen daily. If pregnant, nursing, or on prescription retinoids, check with your doctor first.
03How long before I actually see something?
Hydration and comfort: the first night. Fine lines: measurable smoothing was recorded at one week in clinical testing. Firmness and tone: realistically four to six weeks, because that's how skin renewal works. Anyone selling overnight structural change is selling you a filter.
04Will it clog my pores?
It's non-comedogenic tested. Rich and pore-clogging aren't the same thing — the richness comes from humectants and barrier lipids, not heavy occlusive waxes. Acne-prone skin should still patch test for a few days, as with any new active.
05Is 50ml going to last?
